I noticed that most mens 'not marked on sale' Patagonia items on Backcountry.com are actually marked down by 50%. Most items are current season and don't appear to be 'on sale' visually (i.e. show XX% off). Instead the listed price is simply 50% of what it sells for on Patagonia.com.

For example, here is the normally $129 Capilene Air Crew for $69.50

Another example is the Micro-D fleece pullover, normally $79 but listed for $34.50

A final example, the coveted $279 down sweater jacket is now $139.50

Bonus example, the $225 nano puff jacket is $114.50

Disclaimer: This has to be a mistake on the side of Backcountry as Patagonia is pretty strict on how they manage sales.

I don't understand the constant thread crapping in TNF and Patagonia deal pages. They are pricey but for those in the market, there are deals to be had. If it's not your thing, move on.
Down voting these deals make them harder to find for those with deal alerts set to positive votes.
