I believe they do within 30 days. Go to Customer Service. If you bought at Costco.com, they have a form on their website to request a credit.

We bought a table and chairs online, then 5 days later it went on sale for $500 off. I filled out the form, then a few days later I had a credit for $533 or what not (tax included).

Just went to Costco, they said they can't adjust with online price since I bought it in store. Just ordered same one online and I will return my old one. They are not smart at all, retail should avoid return, not increasing return rate like this kinda situation

$430? Wow. Apple can charge whatever they want for their products and people will still buy. Probably costs $50 to make these watches in their China slave labor factories.

We bought a 45mm for my wife from our local warehouse but returned it because it was the large band - bought the same with the small band from Costco online at the same price but with $5 shipping added.

Yes they do - I've done it a few times - they credit my card with the difference.

They avoid the option of you returning it for a full refund and buying the same at a lower price.

They have changed their return policy on electronic goods and now limit it to 90 days.

Irrelevant. Their cost to make is irrelevant. How about the watch software,do you know how many people, and how many hours it took to make it? If you look at it this way, you're getting a bargain.

I'm actually curious if they even have them in store. I may go look.

In May 2022, none of the local warehouses carried the cellular version, although that may have changed (yes, I asked for a stock check at local warehouses).

Quote from EFR57 :
There was something that happened in Costco stores a few months ago where whoever did the cell phone vending/sales closed up and walked out, with like no notice.. (no, I am not sure precisely what occurred, but that is the essence of the story).

Wireless Associates was the vendor at the cellphone kiosk, and the owner of Wireless Associates closed the kiosks without notification to Costco (contract was valid through end of 2023)..

More information here, from a former Wireless Associates District Manager:

Quote from KelseyJ9110 :
Manager was telling a couple in front of us today they could not buy more because they were just in yesterday and bought some. Didn't catch all the details and not sure how it's tracked or if they just happened to recognize them.

I wonder if that was for the GPS version, which is also on sale?

Quote from xanthophyll :
If you have the option to buy for instore delivery/pickup, I would suggest that. I've read horror stories about issues with FedEx/ups losing the item, and costco not replacing the item, claiming fraud.
In May 2022, my cellular watch was "lost" by FedEx while in-transit from Costco's regional distribution site to the local warehouse. I gave it an extra week to arrive (teen's cross-country shoes actually traveled across the country, twice, before being delivered by FedEx) before calling Costco's e-commerce number.

I didn't have to wait x number of days for an investigation since it was shipped to the warehouse, and the replacement cellular watch arrived at the local warehouse.

BTW - In May 2022, AppleCare+ for Apple Watch was not available for purchases shipped to the warehouse because of automatic registration to the delivery address.

Quote from xanthophyll :
Also, open the item instore when you pick it up. Stupid, but may save you bigger hassles down the line.
Very sage advice!

A Redditor asked why an Apple watch should be shipped to the warehouse instead of directly to their house. I shared my experience, linked to a post from another Redditor who received an Apple Watch 4 inside an Apple Watch 6 box (first time Apple Watch owner), and the Costco sub-Reddit moderators deleted my post.

Here's what can be avoided by checking the watch before accepting delivery at Member pick-up:

Many people forget about the intangible costs associated with development and regulatory clearance/certification/approval.

The EKG/ECG feature has FDA approval as a medical device.

It takes a while (years and $$$) to gain FDA approval for medical devices, along with FCC approval/clearance (rf output does not interfere with other medical devices).

The hardware and software side requires heavily documented design, implementation, and testing (patient must not be harmed if a malfunction occurs).

The clinical side requires research studies (physicians, nurses, research assistants at multiple sites, along with patients from multiple ethnic backgrounds) and associated data that is peer-reviewed before publishing.

BTW - the blood oxygen monitor does not have FDA approval. It's classified as a wellness device instead of a class 2 medical device.

It's good to know the cellular version is now available at the warehouse. Smilie
