These would all be a must buy if Microsoft had an app where you can watch it on your phone or tv.

Wish Vudu, amazon or apple would price match, can't start another video ecosystem

The Microsoft Movies and TV app makes it pretty easy to download the files for content you own if you want to drop it into a Plex server to stream via that app. I realize its not ideal, but doesn't take too long either

Ditto. I don't know how OP found everything that's posted on sale. It's not just this sale - every week it's like this for the various movie sales.
You can add a URL parameter. I don't know what it is to change how many results will show on the page or if that's even supported. But you can use ?skipitems=200 to view the next 200 TV show results. Maybe have to lower it for the Movie results, not sure. So for at least the TV, you just view the main page, 200, 400, 600, 800 to see them all.

I saw a live action listing for Prison School on there....god, I'm almost curious enough to check that out.

The list in the main post has an extremely high density of amazing anime. Reads like a greatest hits compilation

They can be watched on Xbox, apparently.

I haven't seen FLCL in a decade, and it's in HD!

I hope Amazon matches it, I would love to use some of my digital credit on this massive amount of anime. The volume of choices, including some of my favorites is still very tempting.

Thanks! And a live action Prison School sounds amazing, but I've seen a few live action adaptations and they usually come out a little weird. They were shot for shot the anime without the expressiveness of the characters or the scene which can't be replicated so they ended up feeling flat.

Trigun made me sad after taking such a dark turn mid-season. It is such a funny show up to that point and feels like two different shows after.
Trigun the original is a masterpiece.
I actually want to buy the figure art Trigun statue if it wasn't 5,000 dollars. I would easily pay 2000 for it

Childhood favorite of mine hands down

Just something to consider. Some of the Anime that I have bought in previous sales like this on my Xbox have completely disappeared from my account. I bought KonoSuba a few years ago, and it's gone from my account, but apparently people in other countries like Australia can still buy it. Also, they used to sell these seasons for $2.99 and $3.99. I don't know why there would need to be inflation on digital Anime episodes, but it seems way cheaper to just get a CrunchyRoll account, and you can watch CrunchyRoll on anything and everything.

Most of the anime I watch is subbed, but the Mushishi dub is one of my favorite animes ever. Travis Willingham (of FMA, Critical Role and a million other things fame) voices the main character and his voice in this is one of the most relaxing things ever. I used to watch it at night to unwind after studying for the bar exam.

The only problem is that they never dubbed season 2 and I just have a block about the sub for this show. Ginko's voice in the sub just makes the character feel so different.

Link your Microsoft account through Movies Anywhere app.
Tv series do not port through movies anywhere. And about 98% of anime films don't either

If you can download them through the MS app, throw them on a USB drive and plug that into your router or TV for playback.... I frequently do that for stuff I might watch once and not worthy of the plex server

See some old favorites. What format and how does this work here? Can I just download a copy of the show and play it on VLC or any device?

I'm guessing that's probably a no and I need a specific app?

Very disappointed to see that the movies aren't shared on Movies Anywhere. I did find that Amazon is not only price matching, but beating by $1 per season My Hero Academia. $3.99 a season right now. At least that works on Roku and I can Chromecast from my phone.
