Apart from someone eating a pound of Splenda a day, what scientific or medical evidence is there that a packet of it in your tea/coffee each day is going to cause death?

And, your logic makes no sense. Because Coke offers Coke with Cane Sugar means that their normal and Diet products must be toxic?
How do they advertise that as Stevia or Monk Fruit when it's mainly Erythritol?
Amazon review-

5.0 out of 5 stars Very close to plain sugar, a little goes a long way.

It needs to be stated, first of all, that this is not just Stevia extract; it is mixed with a Suger Alcohol called Erythritol. I know it sounds like some crazy lab-cooked chemical, but it is a naturally existing compound found in plants. Today we create a pseudo-synthetic variant through the termination of plant sugars. Since the human body cannot break it down, as we do not have the enzymes needed, Erythritol passes through our systems and is exited through our urine. Which makes it a fantastic low-carb alternative to sugar.

Erythritol is also used in medicine as a vasodilator (help blood flow), similar to coffee, and an antioxidant.

Flavor: It tastes just like sugar in small dosages. It is strong stuff, and remember, less is more with this.

Value: As someone with a low-carb diet, I think this stuff is well worth its price. Suger will always be cheaper however sugar also comes with too many health issues.

This is a great deal. I just purchased 4 of these the other day along with 4 of the Monk Fruit. I'm not sure which one I like best. They both are erythritol-based and labeled non-GMO.
Amazon is giving another 5% off if you order 4 of the monk fruit. https://a.co/d/1zy48jK

These are often BOGO with additional coupon stickers at the grocery store. In December I got four 19 oz containers for a total of $9.48 or $2.37 each.

LMAO! The very existence of this product from the makers of Splenda is an admission that actual Splenda (sucralose) is toxic garbage.

TLDR: avoid anything containing Sucralose (Splenda)

OR, marketing towards this exact audience? You're free to make your own trade-offs and decisions. Sugar in large quantities is *known* to cause health issues via obesity, these artificial sugars are presumed to be safe-ish but less certain. Best to avoid both, but otherwise, it's quite literally pick your own poison.

Costco has different brand of monk fruit + erythritol for 8.49$ for 907g on regular basis some time there is 2 or 2.5$ off on that too.

This is a good deal for those who do not have costco or are not member.
