Not true at all, first off new models show up on retailer shelves late june/early july. Manufacturers dont just super discount older models, they just stop making them and sell them to resellers. People live in false realities thinking one year old units will drop 50% in price!

Called the South Atlanta store, the 1 in stock is a floor model that "has been on since last year". Probably has a lot of hours on it. Likely these are one off savings on floor models and not worth the "savings"

No, the price in your post was only for the open box, at least at this store. Perhaps the price in other stores are for new ones but this store said that price is specifically for open box. Great if others are able to get a new one for the price in your post

Wow Amazon normally matches it in those situations ask for a supervisor.What they have done in past is leave notes on the account and when it comes back in stock match it but it might be to late since so much time has passed.

Really sorry I just assumed it was a more basic model since it's priced cheaper. I kept waiting for that deal to come back but it's not in stock anymore.

It is a worse model.. it's stripped down in ports and 60hz

If someone doesn't play games, they'll never use the higher refresh rate in the B+ models right? So it comes down to brightness. Do you need to max your brightness for A1 to get it bright enough?

I actually turned down brightness on my C1 for viewing in dark as it can be too bright. I remember watching a show where there was a lamp shown and it was like the light from the lamp was beaming into my room, it was amazing. People talk about darks with OLEDs but the greater brightness is impressive as well.
