I wish they would stop putting maltodextrin in health foods, or even all foods! Maltodextrin is a highly processed food that has a glycemic index higher than table sugar. I recognize that protein powders are inherently processed, but some are better for you than others!

Looks like there's enough fake sugar in here in to feed a 500-person wedding cake.

Gimmicky marketing ploy: saying it's 60g of protein for two scoops, instead of saying 30g protein for one scoop....

Sheesh, lotta hate for this stuff.

I buy it because it's pretty cheap at Walmart and I like having the creatine already in there. It's good enough all-in-one post workout.

Thanks, OP. This is for EXERCISING people.

For all those who think this gives them "satiety" for appetite suppression and weight loss, studies show that lean meat gives more satiety.

For those who've already had a cardiac event and want to avoid a second one, or who have a strong family history of coronary artery disease or have high serum cholesterol - fair enough, stick with isolate for minimum cholesterol.

Afraid of "fillers"? What exactly do you think is in it, sawdust? When you buy gasolne, do you demand one with no additives because "purity" is somehow the ideal?

And btw, creatine these days costs more per gram than protein at this price. Prbly most every other ingredient does as well.

Table sugar (sucrose) is medium glycemic index because it is half fructose. Fructose has a very low GI because it must be processed in the liver into glucose.

People who exercise generally want fast carbs postworkout for glycogen repletion - refueling the muscles. Or even during long exercise. Then again, sucrose has a high insulin index, which is also good for replenishing glucose and for getting muscles cells to absorb amino acids PWO. Whey and lean meat by themselves have a high insulin index.

I exercise. For me, I just want the protein, that's it. The amino acids are good too, but not all that other stuff. I'm not an Olympic level athlete, so I'm not looking for fast carbs post workout. Generally, I'll eat a banana or apple afterwards, with the protein shake. I'm not a nutritionist, so I'm not sure if that's just as good, but I prefer to turn to whole foods when I can.

I appreciate the info though, @Nuwskn. The more you know 🌈⭐. 😁

@LivelyWealth194, I forgot to thank you for sharing the deal! I always appreciate protein deals, even if they're not always for me!

Just for my understanding - how do you determine that?
I'm comparing to ON Gold that has 24g protein per 30g scoop whereas BF has 30g per 50g. Is that it? I understand ON Gold is one of the most popular, so baselining most other brands against it

It's 30g of protein in 200calories. 120calories of protein in 200 calories total = 60% protein

1350 grams protein in a tub
ON is 1728
MM is 1024

If you only care about price per gram of protein then this should help.

Does anyone here really not regularly consume things far "worse" than maltodextrin? Be honest.

Kids these days eat ass ffs.
