You also need magnesium to help body absorb the vitamin d. the recommended combination is to take vitamin d + magnesium + vitamin k. If you are taking zinc for any other reason , it would be helpful to include zinc to this regimen as these 4 vitamins blend together well and help the bio availability of each other which lead to better absorption.
Don't take Vitamin D without Vitamin K. K helps absorb D, otherwise D builds up and can calcify in the body

Good deal. This is about half the price I paid last time ($0.011/pill vs $0.0191/pill). Sucks you only get the coupon off one bottle though.

whats the math on taking 5 of these per serving? you need 5000iu minimum and even then only half would be bioavailable

"High potency" is very misleading. You need at least 2000 IU daily for supplemental purpose, most if not all indoor workers are deficient and need 50,000 IU weekly for 3 months. Get your level checked with your primary before wasting money on these.

Not according to the May Clinic. The top Google result suggest is from GoodRx and their advice is 50,000iu daily for 6-8 weeks for those with vitamin D levels of 20 ng/mL or less. Then 800 to 2,000iu daily thereafter to maintain a healthy 30 ng/ml vitamin D level. These 1,000iu capsules provide flexibility.

I wish sales tax wasn't charged on supplements. Anything food or health related should be tax free.

These have GMO soybean oil and GMO corn oil in them. Not to mention gelatin.

GMOs are the best. Why wait for for tens of thousands of generations of random genetic mutations combined with natural selection to get a better product when you can use a test tube and modern tech to accomplish the exact same thing in one generation?

Vitamin D is extremely important, but not in the form of OTC supplements. It is almost always sold as cholecalciferol, which also happens to be used in many rat poison products. Obviously, highly toxic.

Best way to increase your Vit D hormone levels is to simply spend as much time in the sun as you possibly can. If that's not an option, then the next best thing is to invest in a Vitamin D sunlamp.

Vitamin D is fat soluble, it always builds up

Considering that vitamin d is one of the most extensive vitamin deficiencies my a large margin

I would say this is pretty misleading

Unless someone is taking like 50,000 iu of vitamin d a day I wouldn't even have this on my radar

Be careful of vitamin d if you have or are susceptible to kidney stones. Vitamin D helps with absorption of calcium in the body which increawe the risk of kidney stones of the calcium type (phosphate or oxalate).
