My 38" LG ultragear died on me after just 2 years! I went out searching for a replacement and the Alienware monitors come with 3 year warrantees. I got lucky and found my local Microcenter has them for $849.99! Picked it up last night. Cheapest other places for new is Amazon for about $1069. Hope it helps someone out. This appears to be lower than the recent black friday prices. In stock at select Microcenters, so check the site for inventory. There was 10 left in Cambridge, MA as of yesterday.

Good price but I would also consider to pay a little bit more and get the OLED one.

Agreed. At this point, just wait for a sale on one of the newer ones/QD-OLED, will be WAY better, and this one isn't even among the best in terms of IPS Ultrawides

Those are also 34" and 3440x1440. This has 4 extra inches and higher res.
Also thought heard mixed reviews on text clarity on 34 qd-oled (could be making that up). I know for certain the 42 oleds do.

This is what I thought as well...as before I pulled the trigger I had looked into the OLED model...only could find the 34" on Dell's site. I really wanted another 38" as I got used to it.

I have this monitor and while I do like it quite a bit, it's 2yrs old at this point. It really should be this price normally and discounted a little further with all the competition that has released since its debut.

Good monitor, but meh price.

I've had this monitor for a little over a year now and I love it. Decent price for it, but as others have mentioned now that you can get the AW3423DWF for about $999 it becomes harder to justify spending this kind of cash on older tech, unless of course you're still someone who is worried about burn in.

Also much harder to drive 4K vs 1440p from a GPU perspective.

Needs to be $599... OLED for a few hundred more is definitely the better buy

Got this 2 years ago and have been happy with it. The PQ won't blow you away but it is good. 1600p resolution is a plus as a dual purpose gaming/work monitor.

I'm torn... everyone seems to suggest 34 OLED over the 38 and I've been using 40s and 38 over the past year. Not sure if its worth it to downsize. Both are about the same price for me as Id have amex 200 credit to use with Dell for the 34 OLED
