Just FYI people don't realize how much these things cost to run.

5000w = 5kwh x $0.20 (or whatever you pay per kilowatt hour) = $1 an hour. Doesn't seem like a lot but when it runs 3 hours a day for a month it adds up = $90. Or when your kid or relative forgets it on the whole weekend and leaves your garage door open. You pay $48 for that mistake.

Yikes... I should disclose that I hate space heaters, lol.

Yeah but unless you have a heat pump with additional capacity, I don't, a space heater or this kind of device is necessary if temps hit -22. Like tonight will! (No gas to house either.)

Heat pumps aren't going to help you at -22 either sadly. Many of them drop efficiency when outside temp is that low and a supplemental space heater inside the unit. Even the new ones that claim to be super efficient ☹️. There is no great solution, even gas is more $$$ now.

Sounds like you're in the necessary boat, keeping pipes from freezing or something? I was just trying to raise some awareness for folks who think $100 and they can make their garage or shed as cozy as they like and don't realize what $$$ is going to come at the end of the month.

Good price for those who need it. Yes, space heaters and high wattage units will be costly but still less than paying a plumber for burst pipes!
This is designed to wire directly to a 30 AMP breaker and does NOT use a wall plug. You'll probably need an electrician to come add a line for it.

I got this very model for full price of $209, 2 years ago and it works great so this deal is a slickdeal! My garage is 500 sq foot attached to the house so it's usually even on cold sub 30 degree days in the mid 30's in my garage. This heater once turned on , usually takes an hour to 90 min to get up to 60-65 degrees but it all depends on how cold it's outside but this little heater packs a punch. As for cost it's electric so yeah if you leave this on all day and night it's going to get pricey, but i as most converted my garage into a mini gym so for those 3-5 days a week for 2-3 hours of use this really only comes out to about $20-$30 extra on your electric bill between the months of November- April.
