Thanks for posting, it does work from LAX-SYD but not SYD-LAX for the same price. I have some friends over there I was going to fly them over but not at double price. Shows 2k+ from Sydney to LAX. They must be rich over there lol

More about Delta's segmentation of ticket classes, do not purchase basic economy if you want to sit with someone traveling with you.

Is it likely there will be another deal like this for July/August travel, either from Delta or other airlines?

Ask them to try a VPN and check the prices. Maybe taxes and landing fees are high in SYD like LHR.

Anybody know if there have been price drops for flights to Australia out of a Houston for the Christmas / New Years period? Or best to just buy early ?

you have to fly somewhere to get to Australia. Fly into Sydney and leave the town next day. They do have a huge shortage of homes because of chiese investors buying everything available. Australia is amazing and definitely you need several trips to visit the whole continent

Yes, I'm looking forward to the break from triple digits at home and touring AUS/NZ for the Women's World Cup. Cheers!

I assume it's listed as US dollars and not Australian as there's quite a difference in exchange rate.

Yes but it takes like 5 minutes to fill out the form per person online. I don't recommend this, but we did it at the airport as we didn't know beforehand.
