I can confirm that the amount of each topping is determined by the total number of toppings. For example, here are the number of pepperonis that are supposed to be used on a medium pizza:

1 topping = 30 pepperonis
2-3 toppings = 24 pepperonis
4+ toppings = 18 pepperonis

If you order extra pepperoni it would be 45/36/27. These numbers also apply to number of ham slices. All other toppings (except salami and American cheese) are based on weight, and also vary based on total number of toppings.

Source: I work at Domino's

Edit: I have uploaded a topping portion chart here: https://i.imgur.com/8QLK1yh.jpeg (the weights are measured in ounces)
Where to complain ? And who will listen?
If you order a topping on half, the amount/weight is to be halved. However, I am unclear if it counts as 1 full topping or one half of a topping.

I will clarify with my GM this evening.

Edit: 2 toppings on one half and 2 different toppings on the other half is still considered 2 toppings. Thank you for asking — I have always wondered this myself!

So then why offer "well done" in special requests (which btw I always select when doing a custom Extravaganzza under the 2@$9.99 deal and it never is actually cooked extra)?
If they are busy at all, it's not super easy to cook a pizza longer. The conveyor gets full and they can't push it back or run it back through from middle without pushing other pizzas forward/back. You can try to leave a gap a few mins after you put it in, but the busier you are, the harder that stuff is to do.

Your complaint is legit and everything, but it makes sense why it happens.

You can select 5 toppings on one side of the pizza and 5 different other toppings on the other side of the pizza through the app. My local Dominos is never stingy with the toppings.
Also worth mentioning you can transfer toppings between pizzas. At least with the same size/crust. If you get 2 pizzas with 2 toppings you can distribute the 4 toppings however you want (2 and 2, 3 and 1, etc.)

Try the coupon code 5177 (at the bottom of the coupon page in the app). The coupon didn't show up on my app, but entering the coupon code manually worked. Also in DFW.
Nice, ty. Anyone have a spare $3 top coupon to pm me? Lol 😆

The $7.99 for two topping large is decent enough. Coupon 5173 for those on mobile. Should stack nicely with $3 carryout deal.
Code just worked for me. Good deal for a large, even before the $3. You can barely get a frozen pizza with that size/price ratio anymore these days.

Do they have 5 toppings worth getting? In my experience, their mushrooms and sausage aren't very good.

I agree with this. Only reason to get the Costco instead is if you want a really bready pizza, aren't going for taste and okay with mediocre texture.
I just had costco cheese pizza two days ago. Taste nor quality is comparable. Dominos is better. When I tried to reheat a slice next day, the cheese was like a slab and not heating as it should. No more costco pizza for me unless it is to be finished right out the oven hot.

I know that and completely agree. But I most frequently order around 3pm, which is my lunchtime working a later shift. Almost always I'm the only pizza being cooked at that hour. Still not well done...

Why did they change so suddenly from the 1 topping $7.99?? We're the sales that bad?

Enter code 5177 in coupon box on the menu page so that you can get $6.99 after $3 tip coupon.

The only time I question someone ordering two pizzas on one is when they order something like two (2) half pepperoni/half cheese pizzas.

I've never understood why people do this, but surely they have a valid reason.
I get toppings, but wife demands cheese only. If each pie is restricted to 1 topping, a layperson might get one pie with pepperoni, one with cheese. That's a waste though, so those in the know might do double pepperoni on half of each.

The point is you're effectively transferring what would be a wasted topping.

I never get 30 slices of pepperoni on my pie. And in 2021 they still offered 2 large 2 topping pizzas for $5.99 each.
Maybe locally never nationally. It was 2 med 2 topping for $5.99 each.
