Yes, they will do it with no issues, but the store won't have nearly the profit so they won't be excited for the work... Also, they WILL NOT ALWAYS be able to match the discount even though they will always say they can (in general)! I've bought a lot from the Carmel, Indiana discount tire and it's a truly great shop, but they have twice refused to match a Costco deal and their own deal on ebay, but they have been nice about it and given me their bottom dollar. They have a minimum margin to maintain.

Always CALL AND ASK before you buy on eBay if they can match the exact price and make them check, request a manager if they won't agree to the price on the phone.
They'll install any tire. It's just Discount Tire's prices are usually so good it makes sense to buy from them if possible. They're my favorite tire vendor. Clean waiting rooms, great road warranty, and usually very quick.

Anyway, I was about to start calling them to see if they would give me this deal since I just spend $1000 on tires with them last week, but the tire my Audi uses wasn't on the "qualified" list. Oh well...still got a $70 rebate from Continental
My local Discount Tire told me they will price match these online prices any time.

I am very wary on these ebay sellers. Last time I purchased from an ebay seller that wasn't discount tire direct, I received a "new" tire that was about 5 years old.
Check the seller's policy. They usually have a disclaimer stating they will not accept returns for tires under X number of years, usually around 5 or 6.
The way they sell "discounted" tires is usually new old stock that the reputable brands will refuse to sell.
I now stick to discount tire direct, or tirerack now.

Are continental tires any good? I opted to buy Michelin rather than that brand.
Continentals come standard on BMW's and Audi's, so I'd say they're a good brand Big Grin

Good deal. Be careful if you guys have full sized spare tires. Years ago I bought from discount tires, but a few months later I noticed the guys in the shop took my spare. Had tire and wheel in it. Just double check to make sure your spare doesn't get taken haha

I think Americas tires will price match. If you have one nearby.

continentals are good. They are a major brand, and used on mercedes and bmw as OEM tires.

michelins are overpriced and prone to surface cracking if you don't drive much.

I had michelin primacy mxv4. never again.

tires are expensive because they do all that advertising.

day to day driving, you won't notice a difference

My continental DWS never cracked. I liked them better than michelin. Tirerack performance tests also put the contis ahead of michelin.

if you have to choose between michelin and continental, just pick the cheaper one

After being a brand snob and paying too much for michelin and continental tires, I have now switched to Kumho tires.
much much cheaper in price. not much tangible real world difference.

Kumho is ok tires. I had them on my explorer for about 4 years. They wear well and are very quiet on the road. But, they sux so bad in light snow. I got stuck a few times with less than 1/4 in of snow. When I had to buy a new set of tires, I went with Michelin they handle the snow like a champ. You do pay for what you get.

of course it depends where you live, and the model of tire. Some tires have better snow tread patterns.

i live in los angeles. Really no need to overpay for tires here.

Rookie here....so which is better discount tires or Costco(ignoring the membership fee)?
Costco provides free tire rotation too ( again considering membership is maintained)

You can get 4 tires for $200 or less from Walmart and get them installed for $50 in Walmart while you shopping there.

This coupon code might be useful for some of the cheaper brands.. or non-premium tires.

That said I've been tracking prices of the 275/40R20 for both the Continental DWS06 and Michelin Pilot Sport AS4.. and this code barely does anything. Most eBay retailers selling those tires won't accept the code.. and those with significantly higher pricing. I feel like I can get either tire for around the same price from Discount Tire or TireRack.. especially if you can time your purchase during the typical $70-$150 rebate that switches brand to brand every month.

I also trust DT or RT to ship newly made, fresh tires that have been very recently produced. Not old tires that have been sitting in a warehouse for the past few years because they were overpriced.

My 2017 Sienna came with Michelin Primacy tires. 5 years later, but only 20k miles they are almost bald. I did 1 rotation at 10k miles. No idea what happened to them.
