I purchased this system new a few months ago from HP. It's pretty nice for the price. Mine was the i7-12700 and 3070ti. 3070ti is 3 fan model and barely fits. Front 3.5" hdd mount is riveted to case and 3070ti is nearly touching it. 800w power supply is a cooler master 80 plus gold. Power supply fan is loudest fan in case at idle. Probably because it's 1/2 "from metal bottom of case. Only half of PS fan has holes in bottom of case to pull air. Motherboard is a stripper model and only has 3 internal storage ports. 2 m.2 nvme pciex4. I tested with Samsung 980 pro and get 7k MB/s read and 5k MB/s write on both m.2 slots so they are pciex4 . Only 1 sata port for hdd even though there are two mountings for hard drives. Only one pcie x16 slot that's it. CPU-z says motherboard is pcie 5.0. Small tower cpu cooler and I get 20400 cinebench r23 stock win11. Extremely bare bone motherboard but uses standard components so you could put a different board in or swap to another case. This case looks pretty damn good for a prebuilt.

Only issue I've had is HP built in some severe throttling for cpu. Several times I can only get 12k or 15k on cinebench because the cpu throttles to 4ghz max within the first minute. It is not due to heat, even tried a better cooler and still throttles. Must be due to a built in power limit for VRM's that do not have a heatsink. Only power plan is balanced in Win11.

That being said, playing MSFS with HP Reverb G2 VR headset is amazing and runs without any issues or throttleing.
You can not build this spec for this price. the CPU and video card combine is already 900-1000$. Leaving you with $200 left for Case, CPU cooler, motherboard, Ram, Storage, power supply, OS. which isnt possible.
Priced everything at discounted prices together you still will be looking at $1400

OK Deal. If it was $1k or under it would be slick.
Agreed. 4k series already out, 3k cards should be more steeply discounted by now.

Pass on this if you can build something your self. You can easily build a better performing and better looking machine for this price.

Just build something!

You can't build this for this price!!1!

I sure can, here's the parts list, where I included stuff I already had and a gray market windows license!!!!1111!!!1!

But that's not apples and oranges.

Yes it is, and HP machines are terrible too!!1!!

Here's my pc part picker for a totally different machine that has little in common with the deal.

How does it compare to <link>?

That's a laptop, this is a desktop.

Nobody needs this kind of power!!!111!!

This post was dedicated to the hardworking people who are here every day, enhancing deals in ways you never before thought possible.
