I bought the last bundle and for a second I was like, I could have gotten a 670 over a 650, but after looking at the specs, the ASUS B650E-F ROG STRIX GAMING WIFI seems like a better motherboard. vs the ASUS X670-P PRIME.

Following reasons.

better sound ROG SupremeFX ALC4080 vs Realtek
intel nic vs realtek
pci16 slot is 5.0 vs 4.0
has wifi
usb 3.2 gen 2 vs gen 1

both have M.2 pcie5x4

X670-P does have one more M.2 pcie4x4
put microcenter in title so you do not waste peoples tine
I have this ram in 2 builds and they're both stable. Could be hit or miss. The main issue that causes instability is keeping memory context restore on enabled or auto. Keeping it disabled (at the expense of longer boot times) keeps the ram stable at 6000. From my understanding it's a bios issue that has yet to be fixed.

Looks like a good deal. Is it worth getting and "e" edition with pci-e 5.0 or is this fine?

Been looking at this deal and I realize the RAM is free but…. It seems as though I might be better off waiting for a better combo deal as the RAM has not so great reviews?

THe non-e will still have pci-e 5.0 for storage, though not a pci-e GPU slot. Really depends if you will be first on board when PCIe GPUs debut at tome point in the future. To my knowledge there are none on the horizon.

Q-Code display on ROG is really handy for troubleshooting.

From the reviews on MC, the RAM seems to have serious stability issues even with the latest MB BIOS. Many folks are reporting issues with EXPO. 6GHz seems to also be having issues and many are stuck at 4.8GHz to avoid BSODs.

If you need a build this moment, I'd grab it. The RAM is definitely suspect as between me and a few friends, we've collectively built 4 pc's with some version of this combo. None of the RAM sticks were able to run at the advertised speed. Bumping it down one level has been rock solid for all of us. Really not noticeable at all. You could use it and buy a better stick when DDR5 drops further (and it will).

I got in on the deal with 7900x, B650e-f, 32 GB DDR5 6000mhz for $600 and can confirm I have this same problem. It runs fine with default setting. Do anything to touch performance or expo I to increase clock speed for RAM and I get BSOD or freezes. Talked to the tech bc I was concerned about the components being defective but he said it's just the RAM being unstable at higher clock speed. Mind you, I wish I could run at 6000mhz to get the most out of the RAM, but I'm okay at 4800mhz default. Other than that, I have no other problems. BTW, this is on the latest BIOS. Also, don't OC using Ryzen Master apps. That thing messed my computer up and got me a yellow light that won't even got to BIOS. I had to call a tech to help me get it back. AMD needs to get their sh$t together.

I have that same board. Whenever you have the time, go into dram settings and disable memory context restore. You should be a lot more stable.

I'm no expert and this is my first build so I'm a little hesitant to try something else that may cause my computer to crash again. I might try it when I get a little more adventurous. BTW, I just read up on memory context restore, and all it does is reduce memory training time. I don't know how that will help with stability.

I have this board and 2 pairs of this ram. 64 GB running at 6000mhz without issue on expo 1. Expo 2 was a lot less stable.

enabling it helps reduce boot times at the expense of stability. leaving it disabled with make it more stable. From what I understand, enabling it will have the bios skip checking the ram everytime you boot up, thus speeding your boot times at the expense of stability.
