I bought one the last time it was listed on here, on sale. Look, it is ok. It isn't fantastic. I wouldn't want to pay more than $10 for one ever again either. I bought one because I was repainting my addition and bathroom, and was going to remove all the switchplates and outlet covers, plus curtain rods, drapes, towel holders etc. I thought I would buy this and not have to bring in my cordless and bits or get my screwdrivers out of my toolbox in the garage. I was wrong.

Plus side - it isn't a stubby that won't let you get your hand away from the object your screwing. The bit storage isn't bad, and you do get a selection from phillips, straight, square, and torx.

Negative - the bit holder is kinda wide, so don't think you will be screwing anything in that is deep set. You will have to go buy or get your other longer bits. It doesn't angle at all. Some of the other device have buttons/knobs you depress and the handle will tilt at about a 30-45 degree. The 2x ratchet action didn't seem 2x to me, seemed standard. On long screws I set this down and got my cordless drill out. This took too long.
When you use it, hold the black metal ring still and twist the blue handle back and forth...as little as a quarter turn. The driver applies motion to the bit in a single direction, regardless of the direction you turn the blue handle. That's what makes it 2x. It is not designed to function like a typical ratcheting socket wrench.
Have one of these, lost the cap, now it's a pain to not lose the bits every time I use it. Recently go the newer one for $14 or so. It's worth the extra $4. Smoother, easier to use rachet and much better but lengths.

Would not buy. Too heavy, doesn't double ratchet with any kind of load. Cap it too lose and will loose bits easy.

Be careful of shocks if you touch the metal rotator. Or don't be lazy like me and just go turn off the breaker first

Is this a good deal? I have non-ratcheting free from HF. I have plenty of bits and magnetic holders. I think ratcheing driver is more convenient but not sure if spending money is justifiable.

Yea. This has been my go-to around the house screw driver for the past 3 years. No complaints. I always keep it in my desk and grab it whenever I need it.

I'd spend the extra and get this one. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt/5013544991 Has you covered on both the micro and standard size screws. As a bonus the cap for the micro bit is enclosed in the larger handle and you have no worry about it coming off and losing them.

This is not as good. LTT has electrolytes . It has what screws crave.

Everytime this pops up I wanna buy it, but then I remember I have the Pittsburgh Tools ratchet from HF that works well for inside my house stuff, and for outside stuff, I bought a 4v skil screw driver... still want one though

I've had this for a couple years, but stopped using it when I lost the cap. Since then, I bought a Milwaukee one that Ratchets (no 2x) with longer bits that slide into the handle. No parts to lose and longer bits are nice. The Kobalt one isn't too bad tho, just don't lose the cap.

I picked up a version of one of these from Lowe's on Black Friday a few years ago. Very handy screw driver to keep in your kitchen drawer or bedroom night stand for the little things that need quick service from time to time. Wide base and short bits make it not a great option if you need to screw something deeply seated. Ratcheting occurs in both directions so it does make quick work for small projects.

Maybe I'll pick one up for my pops for Father's Day coming up.

If the cap comes off too easily, that's an important design flaw - hardly "being a Karen."
I had similar experience with their 2x and 6x. Good screwdrivers, however when using a ratcheting driver you tend to use the back of the driver more with your fingers (image turning a knob).

Cap was annoyingly coming off, so I eventually just took the bit holder out and used hot glue as thread lock. The ratcheting driver is nice (feels like a more expensive, higher tooth count ratchet) and the holder is awesome, just couldn't keep it with the driver.

Buying two more, best value out there for ratcheting driver!!
