Hi new user from today! Thank you for your continued crapping on of my thread! Let it be forever noted... You don't like OLED and don't like this laptop.

I'm a few days into owning this laptop. Overall, this is the most 'complete' laptop I've owned - ie an all arounder good for work, play, and media consumption. Yes - better than the LG gram deals.

Pros:
120hz OLED Screen - gorgeous. Easily the best screen I've used on a laptop.
CPU + GPU - capable of light gaming and graphical work (i don't play AAA titles)
Build quality - a really deep navy blue that's sophisticated, aluminium construction with chrome accents
Speakers - surprisingly powerful

Cons:
Not my favorite keyboard

What do you dislike about the keyboard? I would like some more detailed input from folks. I have seen some reviews say they like it, and others that it is "standard for a consumer grade laptop."

I type all day long for my job and currently have a Thinkpad T14 for this reason. But I would love something with a nicer screen -- ideally bigger as well, so I didn't always need to use my tablet as a second screen.

I was leaning toward a Slim 7X Pro, but then saw this. But if the keyboard is janky I may have to pass.

Thanks for the help!

I mean exactly what I wrote. Not my favorite (which is Lenovo) but definitely still a good keyboard. The edges are a little sharp and there's a little bit more give, but I'm splitting hairs.

Picked one up today, apparently I am sensitive to OLED PWM eye strain. The OLED display is strobing at 240hz, taking a video of the laptop display with my phone's super slow motion mode confirms this. My LCD laptop does not strobe and doesn't give eye strain. Will continue to test for a few more days but probably will have to return this.
I have had eye strain issues with laptops, and phones, using a pair of blue light filter glasses has really helped. But of course your issue of PWM might be laptop specific

Haha yeah because oled burnin is an epidemic similar to flying saucers! Unless you are paranoid about leaving the tornhub logo on your oled screen you will be fine!

From an earlier post of mine:

"A few QC issues (mostly keyboard related--sticking keycaps, depressed keycaps, etc..."

I wouldn't exactly describe that as 'jank' because I don't think the issues are on every single unit (well, maybe to some degree). I believe the biggest issue would be uniformity. Depressed keycaps i.e. ones that don't have as much clearance from the keyboard deck as they should seems to be the most widespread issue. That said, I never FELT the problem until I started looking for it, and even then, I forget again momentarily because in general, it's a nice, if a bit soft, typing experience. No weird noises on any of my keycaps with the exception of the bottom left control button sticking if you press too far toward the bottom edge. Almost feels like if I pressed it really hard, it might come off (had this happen on an Alienware on one of the function row keys and those are known to have great keyboards, so it can happen anywhere I suppose).

Also, keyboard lighting. If I have it on color cycle, gamery vibe, I can't see any problems. The ice blue color it ships with shows some uniformity issues along the bottom near the space bar and again in the touchpad. If you don't use the light then forget you read this lol.

Honestly, I would give it a look if you have an open box near you. No downside and you may just fall in love with the screen and lightness of the device, I did.

I am still waiting for a deal on a more compact 2 in 1. Love this laptop, but I've already got a mid size

I noticed this laptop dims the screen brightness (in the corners especially) when switching from AC power to battery power.

Can any else confirm this is normal behavior?
