I would describe it as a plum color. It is beautiful.

Unfortunately, these newer Apple leather cases are pretty thin on the actual leather. As a result the color actually fades over time instead of patina, revealing a black color underneath. It does this for all of the darker colors at least. I have personal experience with dark green and this dark cherry. Maybe others can chime in to confirm.

I ordered this two weeks ago. Came in about a week. The package was sealed with that unique apple seal. The phone case was in perfect shape. I enjoy it.

I have the blue iPhone pro, and the dark cherry case looks awesome on it.

wisteria goes well with sierra blue but dark cherry is a nice burgundy/wine color. Has a nice fall vibe with sierra blue iphone. grabbed 1.

I remember how beautiful my brown iPhone 7 leather case turned out after using it a year, but now....not so much. No patina, just black...wear.
