My 2 cents.

I have these. They are my set after trying so many. Got them at like 80 or 90 and for that I felt lucky. But headphones seem like such a subjective personal thing.

- the sound quality is what I like mainly. Rich, hear the more subtle instrumentation. These imho beat lower and medium tier stuff out of the water. And are high tier. Whether they are the high tier sound for you, I dont know.
- using on a Samsung and they have Samsung Scaleable Codec for bluetooth which imho helps the sound quality. Also UHQ codec avail too on my S23plus.
- heavier than ideal but because the sound quality is towards my subjective ideal I don't mind
- earcups round instead of earshaped which can be kind of annoying but because the sound quality is towards my subjective ideal I don't mind
- can't turn off ANC but because the sound quality is towards my subjective ideal I don't mind
- ANC is alright. Nothing amazing but good.
- doesn't super blast volume which I like as I am 50 and blasted way too much heavy metal through the decades. My phone literally warning beeped repeatedly when I had a few and was blasting heavy metal for too long on these. But it was great and I usually hate that stuff but it really kept me from too much volume too long.
- had Momentum 4 which I did very much like, but saved lots of dough selling those and getting these.
- these fold inward unlike Momentum 4
- might get another pair of these at this price just for backup
reaaaaaally wanted to buy this but reviews are telling me you can't turn the ANC off, it's just always on (and mediocre) and that kills it for me. Great if you don't care about that, so gets a thumbs up anyway!
"There's not even the facility to adjust the Y600NC active noise-cancelling - it's on, all the time, and there's nothing you can do about it."
https://www.t3.com/reviews/akg-y600nc-review

"The always-on active noise-cancelling falls into the 'good-not-great' category, too. Outside noise is diminished but not, strictly speaking, cancelled, and because there's no way to adjust it, let alone turn it off, it's a 'one size fits all' solution. And generally 'one size fits all' doesn't really fit anyone all that well."

was there a software update maybe? can't watch the youtube video at work.

Edit: no tax in ohio via HA's website (+2.5% SD cashback) with free 2 day shipping and free returns...giving these a whirl to see if they're any good.

I bought a pair. I'm not an audiophile by any means so I would never spend the money on Sony's offerings. These seem like the perfect sweet spot for me from a $ vs. quality perspective. The AirPods have been fine but the fit isn't great for me and I hope these will be an improvement for travel, music at my desk, and Switch/Steam Deck.

I have Sony WH-1000XM4, Sony WH-1000XM5, Audio-Technica ATH-DSR7BT, AKG N700NC, plus AirPods Pro 1st gen.

Audio-Technica is a garbage, sound quality is soso. AKG N700NC build quality sucks and ANC is better than nothing, but it sounds very very good when playing music. It is also pretty comfortable. SONY ones are superb for ANC and good for music but not superb. AirPods is good at ANC and well balanced with convenience.

So I cannot stop ordering this one because it is so cheap. I am expecting better build quality with similar high-quality sound. But I am very disappointed. The build quality is better than AKG N700NC, but it is simply not comfortable due to round shape. It does not feel uncomfortable, but it is definitely that comfortable, and I suspect to wear it for hours on a plane is a problem. ANC is again, so so. But the sound quality is very disappointed, the music play back quality is really mediocre now. Also the volume is terrible, max volume is just barely for pop songs.

I am not going to return it (too much work), but I won't buy it if I have known this.
How big is the sound qulity difference between N700NC and this one? And how are they compared to 1000XM5 in terms of sound quality?

Isnt this a non issue? Considering there is an ambient mode you can turn on for when you want to be aware of your surroundings.
Well, it does deplete battery life, so I'd consider that a small issue.

Dont really need as I have the bose QC 40 and a few other ones but I've always wanted to try AKG. $60 is not bad to play with. Nice to switch up the feel and sound from my daily drivers. thanks slickdeals!

Just got mine. The build quality, ANC is pretty decent. But the sound quality is not that good for me. At $60 its great and has good value for money, but I'm returning mine.

opinions are all over the board on this one. Some people like the sound and some people hate it. I really don't feel like buying it to just return it though.

I have fomo bc $60 seems good but on the other hand the battery life is a bit short and I'll definitely find them bulky bc I've used earbuds for the last decade or so.

I don't see how this could work out for you if you're coming from a superior product (which I assume has better drivers and tuning)

Yes
Many JBL headphones offer 40 or 50 hrs. I haven't heard these but they weigh as much as carrying multiple smartphones so the battery should be bigger. Especially if you consider most people said they don't get loud.

80 hours battery, smaller size and wireless charging on marshall

I received mine last night. Sound is very good. As people have said, the bass does seem to be lacking a bit. I do think EQ will help. Build quality seems good. They're comfortable. BUT...the USB-C **only** charges from a 5v source which means you can NOT use your laptop charger with it or any PD source. This is a huge limitation for me. Essentially means you must use the USB-A to USB-C cable it comes with and nothing else. I'd rather have a micro-USB. Might return it just because of this.

Why would Harman be responsible for a theft on your property? You must be entitled
They file a claim to the carrier and get reimbursed. You must be ignorant.

how do u know they won't charge on a c-c charger ? I have the pixel PD for my phone. Are you sure this will not charge with PD chargers? That seems impossible

Why micro USB? Because cables are more universal?

Exactly. When I travel, I bring a micro usb for a few devices that still use them. I don't want yet another cable to have to remember.

I know because I thoroughly tested it with my MacBook charger and Chromebook charger. And then i searched the web and found a Reddit thread about this issue. These headphones are several years old and some older usb-c devices are 5v only. They won't even recognize PD. You need a usb-a to usb-c or a usb-c charger that's only 5v. I really don't want to have to remember that requirement as I'm heading to the airport. It's really too bad. Solid deal otherwise. I actually decided to pull the trigger when I saw they were usb-c!
