The dollar tree ones are six compartment as well but they are taller. Depends on what you intend to use them for as the DT ones may have slightly more space but have a different imprint. I used two to display my son's mini figs, also from DT. A good deal on both sizes with one costing only a quarter more.

Yes you can get something similar with 6 compartments at the dollar tree. However, they aren't designed for fishing tackle while this is. The ones from dollar tree has a gap where small hooks will float around from compartment to compartment. The other issue is that they react with certain plastic lures and melts or discoloration the lures. Also they don't have a strong clasp like these and tend to open up in your tackle box. If you don't need to store small hooks or plastic lures, by all means use the dollar tree ones as they are cheaper. But these are for fishing tackle which is why they're more expensive. Well, that and fishing tackle companies sell significant less and tend to be on the greedy side.

But that requires driving, trying to find it in the store, and all that requires time. So, depending on how much your time is worth, for some, it will be very expensive going through all that hassle.

Are these still made in USA? I have several in my tool box that are and they're great. I don't know if that's the case for all of them though.
