Maybe they weren't popular until Bird started renting them, but I got my first electric scooter in 2003. It was some unknown Chinese brand sold for $50 at an Aahs! store. Didn't last long but hooked me up. Got a couple more after that and moved on to an electric skateboard, then to an electric bike. But now because of parking, here I am looking for scooters again, can't leave my bike safe. From my experience, it's good to have the power to get out of trouble, but depending where you live, I wouldn't go past 20mph on empty streets, even less on busy ones.

Nice. Yeah I live in a small town and I'll do 25-27mph on an open empty street, but those little 10-inch tires mean the thing will be ready to buck you if you hit a pothole or that kind of thing. Bikes are just so much more stable. Scooters can be dang fun though!

I just received my scooter but have a couple of issues. The bell on the handlebars is broken looks like it's missing the top. The rear breaks may need to be adjusted to work but the worst part is my rear tire will not hold air. I think the tube is damaged. Everything else seems to work fine and is of good quality. It's just annoying I have to get a tube now and a special tool to take rear tire off. I submitted a ticket to see what they are going to do

Got this scooter a few days ago and must say I'm impressed with the performance and build quality. Mine appeared without any issues at all. First thing I did though was remove tire valve cores and added slime. Filled them to 50 psi without issues. It has sufficient power to go up steep inclines (>40 degrees) on single motor mode but absolutely conquers them in dual motor mode. I have an $8k carbon fiber full suspension Ebike with a Bafang M620 that weighs less than this scooter that goes up a steep hill near my house at about 30 mph when I use throttle only. This thing does the same in dual motor mode for 1/10 the price. This will be great to alternate with my Ebikes for my commute to work. Probably would be more convenient for quick errands as well since it folds easily and is easy to carry despite its weight.

Yup. People looked at me strangely when I rode it back in the day. Bicyclists hated me when I passed them by in their precious bike lane. I did avoid eye contact with cops when I rode it. Only time I ever ran into an issue is, when i rode it to the north beach and cops kicked me off the beach.
