Theres something about this brand fertilizer compared to other organic brands, my avocado and mango produce more and slightly larger fruit, i just move the soil, spread this in the groove then cover with the soil. For fun i also sprinkled some in some sugarcane propagating in water and the speed at which they developed was surprising, placed a little in potted Bougainvillea and Hydrangea and they look healthy and are pushing out lots of blooms. I will test on grapes and strawberries, but this is a winner for me and i used less than directed.

Not a deal at all, HD (and Lowes IIRC) has it at this price and it isn't even on sale:

Great info. I have a mandarin, grapefruit, pomegranate, orange and lemon trees so I will grab a bag. My pom, grapefruit and mandarin produce like mad and I don't have them tons of fertilizer as it is.
You have a lot of trees.. are they planted in ground or pots? How do you deal with pests??

Used in the past really dusty fertilizer, i prefer espoma citrus tone insteadhttps://www.walmart.com/ip/Espoma-Organic-Citrus-Tone-for-Citrus-and-Avocado-Tree-Food-5-6-2-Fertilizer-27-lb/106661356?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=2881&adid=22222222278106661356_117755028669_12420145346&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=501107745824&wl4=aud-1651068665426:pla-294505072980&wl5=9012402&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=106661356&wl13=2881&veh=sem_LIA&gclid=CjwKCAjwoIqhBhAGEiwArXT7K2TXBR0m0nmS1eCqq5Wdy_dexw9R7C3JCMKSViUp7qUrnyYEng6jtxoCGMMQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Been thinking about growing a peach or pear tree but seems like a ton of work to do it correctly. Pruning and directing the branches is no joke early on. The thought of wanting some fruit and just opening your back door seems pretty cool. Gonna get a bag just in case.
Doesn't take much work, pruning is only necessary to either shape it to your desire preference (shape and height) or if you want/need to stimulate the tree's growth pattern. Either way fruit will grow, it's just a matter of if you want to maximize your production (extra 10~15% yield with strategic pruning?). The real thing to consider is if your soil is super dry and you need to water it often which can drive up your cost. If your soil is moist, then no need for a lot of watering. If you get a peach tree, highly recommend getting either a Babcock or donut/Saturn peach tree, super juicy and easy to grow (but you got to thin out the donut/Saturn peaches as they are known to overpopulate branches which often result in branches breaking due to overweight). Oh, and of course birds and rats can steal your fruit while still on the tree. On second thought, it is a lot of work if you got these types of pests, and you want to minimize/eliminate such thievery.

And if you really want to go all in, you can graft many different varieties of peaches, nectarines, plums and apricots on one tree (as these are all compatible to grow on the same tree). This is what I have done and is a great way to save space and get a variety of different fruit.

Wondering how is this labeled for citrus, Because citrus likes a lot of nitrogen, you want to purchase a fertilizer with at least a 2-1-1 ratio, or twice as much nitrogen as phosphorus and potassium. This is just opposite with 3-5-5.
That's what I was going to mention. I have 3 navel orange trees and previously used this product. Then a year ago I switched to Fertilome due to the ratio aspect. Fertilome is 19-10-5. The price is higher. I have to shop around and be patient for deals on the 20 pound bag.

You can find fertilizers for your specific berry anywhere online even on Amazon but for general use i recommend Epsoma Berry Tone, contains Sulphur to help with keeping the soil on the acidic side.

Citrus like Nitrogen for growing but it does not mean you have to give it too much, in its developing years yes you can give it what it wants to reach proper size just like mango, once it gets to a good size you can use less Nitrogen to slow down the growth so more energy can be diverted into blooms then fruit. This 3-5-5 ratio is also great for dwarf fruit trees since the reason you probably got dwarf in the first place was to keep it small.

Normally plants need 3-1-2 ratio, too much phosphorus in this one. With one caveat, get your soil tested to see if you have macronutrient deficiencies. Once you have the analysis, address that deficiency by applying fertilizer rich in that lacking macronutrient. (You don't feed the plant, you feed the microbes that then feed the plant.)

In most cases it is the nitrogen that is lacking. To be cost-effective get the fertilizer that has the most nitrogen per dollar; that would be urea 46-0-0, buy a 50 lb bag which you will keep using until empty. No, if you don't overfertilize it won't burn your plants. No, it is not organic, but the molecules are always identical. If you need organic matter to improve the soil (always the case) top the soil up with compost, but you can't count on the fertilization effect of compost until a year ot two later, and it is slow and low intensity (think 1-1-1).

Bottom line, if you want soil fertilization this season, go with synthetic. If you want more organic matter into the soil, go with organic. Both are good, but for different reasons. This middle of the road product doesn't achieve much of either, and it's not cost-effective either.

jobes is great. I always by the rose sticks and the tomato ones. I have never had that many tomatoes before. Roses are doing good too. So I'm getting this for my mango and star fruit tree. Maybe I can use some for my fig tree too.
