It's absolutely worth the price of less than 2 games/year. I think I paid ~$150 for 3 years, but those deals are becoming harder to come by. This is a great way of keeping your sub topped off at 36 months.
No it's not. It was ~$6/month yesterday on eneba. That's decent, but $8 is nothing special.
Even now it's still a better deal (at $10.89 for 50 days, after conversion, or roughly the equivalent of $6.53 for 30 days):

That said, who knows how long that Gold to Ultimate conversation will still last, so this is a good alternative for people wanting to max out their prepaid time without having to wait until their prepaid time runs out to do the conversion again.
Sorry, could you explain what you mean when you say having to wait until their prepaid time runs out to do the conversion again? I'm a new Xbox owner and I was able to add time to my game pass ultimate subscription using multiple purchases from yesterday's Eneba Game Pass Gold deal. I thought I could just top it off that way until I maxed out at three years. Is that not possible for some reason?
