Yup! They will send you email reminders if you forget it for awhile. Most will keep the print for a few weeks and some even longer.

I was told in the past they keep them for a year, but recently I was told that you have to pick up the free ones within 30 days. Supposedly mine was already in the pile to be discarded because mine was beyond that (I usually wait for a few freebies and then pick them up all at once).

You could. However, I had a problem with my order being missing. The staff mentioned they could no longer see the order details in the store since it was deleted from the system after 72 hours. This was in NYC.

I wouldn't trust them with safeguarding my photos. You never know what they might do with them, I rather pick them up as soon as they're ready.
