Wow, this is a quality tv for the price of a Walmart special. Glad I don't need it, or I would be spending all day driving to Costcos

I'm pretty sure he meant that if you do get LED, make sure it is QLED because it is better. I mean that's what I understood but then again people who are oblivious to the tech might not understand it as such. So thanks for the clarification.

Yes I'm aware, I own both QLED and OLED tv's.
My QLED is still leaps ahead of the dozen LED tv's I've owned in terms of how deep the blacks are. Obviously OLED blows them all out of the water and is a whole different level.

Both OLED and QLED look light years better than LED. Pretty sure that was the point he was making.
The post pointed out light bleed and then called out QLED and OLED as better options. OLED is absolutely a no light bleed technology. QLED is not.

Even if he wasn't referring to light bleed specifically there are plenty of poor quality QLEDs out here and plenty of non QLED TVs that have amazing picture quality.

QLED is in no way a guarantee it's the better product.

You are correct. But chances are QLED is higher quality and better tech in general than just LED. If people would actually do their research at Rtings then they can find the ones to aim for. Also reddit has a group where they have created a list of TVs to avoid. Because as you said, just because it says QLED doesnt mean it is good quality. I also agree that he may not fully be aware that OLED cause no light bleed. Regardless, he was generally on the right track on recommendations without being too tech savvy as most consumers are similar in their grasp of tech.

Don't think a roof rack would be a good option for the biggest TV's - Probably not safe to transport the TV on it's side, and doubtful that the roof surface makes a good place to stand a giant TV vertically 😕

SD rules have been thrown out the window years ago… probably as SD became mainstream and as it sold its soul to spamming and ads.

Hmmmm, how do people take these giant TVs home from Costco then? Rent an U-Haul truck? Or a work truck from Home Depot?

Lol, yes. I literally did this today. Uhaul van can handle 83". Any bigger and you should go for the box truck. The opening of the back of the van isn't tall enough to take bigger. Bring 48 and 32 in bungees. Four each, $20 Home Depot.

Has anyone actually found this TV in store for $699.97, or is this a wild goose chase?
