I don't want a better warranty, I want a tool that I can count on to work when I need it.

It's a minor pain to have to get out from under a car to grab another light if the one I'm working with fails. It's a huge pain if it happens when I'm half way through a washing machine repair at a rental and have to drive home to grab another light.

It's good price. I paid 17.99 during 2019 BF so not sure we ever see that prices. It has USB C versus the other 390lm that has micro USB. And yes it does have HDMI for the people that are gonna ask.

My brother and I bought 3 of the old ones, none of which lasted much longer than the 90 warranty. Hopefully the new ones are better quality, but I'm not holding my breath.

Maybe get the 2yr warranty. It's like $7 I think and you would still come out ahead.

I've used one almost everyday for the last 3-4 years. I hated that it didn't fold. This is definitely a great upgrade.

Mine broke recently. It still charges it's just the metal shield that surrounds the micro-USB pins has broke free and I don't see a way to re-insert it. Any advice?

I guess I was lucky enough to get a good one of the first gens. 3 years? now and going strong. Yes, I often need to clean the magnet off from grinding and welding debris, but I like how you can swap batteries and keep going with your work and charge them up again overnight. I bought the folding style too and like it even better, esp for the go bag for junkyard trips. but tbh, it doesn't seem much brighter than the first one.

No problems with mine after about a year. Still holds a charge where a Home Depot one that is similar won't hold a charge for more then a few days.

Get a 18650 charger. You can even swap them battery out for a new one and not have to wait for the light to recharge
