You want the Magnesium L-Threonate [thedizzycook.com] version of magnesium. It's far more expensive than Glycinate though.

"MAGNESIUM L-THREONATE
A newer type of magnesium, magnesium L-threonate is one of the only forms of magnesium that has been shown to penetrate the blood brain barrier, directly raising the magnesium levels in the brain. In studies, it played a positive role with improving Alzheimer's and other cognitive issues.

Developed by MIT grads, Magtein [magtein.com] promotes improvement of learning abilities, memory, and cognitive function. It even helped me get rid of my morning brain fog, a common symptom with Vestibular Migraine. This type also doesn't contain laxative properties that you would find with citrate or oxide. The downside? It's expensive. But since I wrote this article almost five years ago, this is becoming a widely recommended supplement, just based on my own experience with threonate for migraine, as well as my readers!

Threonate is a good supplement to use in addition to another form of magnesium so you're saving money, and reaping benefits from both. It would be difficult to get the total amount you need when most capsules only contain 72-144mg total.

Final Thought: Magnesium Threonate is good for cognitive function, energy, and brain fog. "
Don't be misled by the label. The doctor's best has 100 mg of MAGNESIUM which is basically 1000 mg of magnesium GLYCINATE per one pill. The one that you listed has only 500mg of MAGNESIUM GLYCINATE which is about 50mg of actual magnesium. Please do some research before buying supplements. You may unknowingly overdosing/harming yourself with supplements

Excellent, thank you! Been taking this brand for nearly a year now. Helps me sleep better and I no longer have night time leg/foot cramps which used to be a weekly occurrence for me.

I don't use S&S often - does the price stay the same if I don't cancel?
Could be wrong, but I think the price reverts to whatever it's selling for at the time of your next delivery.

How does this compare to the Costco option: https://www.costco.com/nature%27s...51161.html
The Costco option is a pretty solid deal. The benefit of the Costco one, is that it is in capsule form (not a jagged and horsepill-like tablet that Doctor's Best is), and the capsule itself has wayyyy less fillers (its only ingredients are vegetable cellulose and ascorbyl palmitate, which are harmless/basically nothing, vs. Doctor's Best which has the unfortunate fillers magnesium stearate and stearic acid). Also, each Costco capsule has 120mg of magnesium (29% of daily value), whereas each Doctor's Best tablet only has 100mg (24% of daily value).

Better yet, my local Costco actually has this priced at just $12.99 in-store until May 7, even cheaper than the $16.99 online sale price. Worth it to check in-store for the added $4 savings vs. online. For reference, the expiration date of the ones in my local store were marked as December 2025 (32 months out), for those who wish to stock up accordingly; for one person, assuming you'll take 2 capsules per day, each bottle of 180 capsules will last 3 months. So with that Dec. 2025 expiration date, you could safely buy 10 of these 180ct bottles and have them last one person all the way to end of October 2025 (i.e. 30 months from now).

Summary: Costco Nature's Bounty Magnesium Glycinate $12.99 (in-store) for 180 capsules, 120mg of magnesium per capsule with essentially no/minimal fillers, is a very good deal. Assuming you take 2 per night, a 30 days' supply comes out to just $4.33; at less than 15 cents a day, this small investment is more than worth it for the 60–70% of Americans who are deficient in this essential mineral.

Magtein for about $24 with Coupon + S&S...dosage looks comparable to the more expensive options of about 150mg from 2,000mg Magtein® magnesium L-threonate). This seems like the best use of the coupon, imo.

Great, so this is for sleep? I've been taking two every morning. Lol. Why not just take melontonin? That's nuts me to sleep.

It's for people that are deficient in Magnesium. It just so happens that it helps with sleep. Melatonin is definitely good at bedtime too.

And it turns out that most people are deficient in Magnesium due to our typical diets!

Magnesium supplementation is one of the most poorly understood, widely misinformed topics on the internet. This is the best summary of what I am referring to, I would encourage you to read it if you are someone who has been convinced that Mag Oxide isn't a worthy mag supplement:

Lotta folks asking about sleep aids, so I'll hijack the thread to recommend both Phosphatidyl Serine and Lutein. As mentioned earlier, do your own research, but hopefully that helps some of you with a starting point.

There are a lot of benefits to using magnesium. People experiencing better sleep is just one of them but if that's not a problem you have then you can take it anytime during the day. I personally split mine up.
