If it is a true dual zone, it is probably worth getting. I have a different brand, and its been cranking for basically 2 years (keep fingers crossed) non stop. The coil runs basically around the circumference of the cooler, about 3/4 of the way up. Cold air sinks, which is good. The bad is however that if you have the unit very packed with no air flow to the bottom, the bottom self insulates.. and that is not a happy thing. As long as you give it some air flow you wont have an issue.

But, if you want ice cream.. or if you want ice... without freezing everything else up, (and spending a lot of electricity ) you need a dual zone.

Just following up that the unit is ~1" too tall and my M3 trunk floor doesn't sit flat. Going to keep the cooler, but still.
