Motorola MB8600 1GB Docsis 3.1 Cable Modem Walmart $124.99.

I think this is the lowest price online right now outside of Ebay. It was available with a discount code from Motorola for $112 but that deal is now expired. I just bought this because its on the Spectrum approved modem list and I just received an email from them saying my current modem is too old and needs replacing. This is what I went with.

Spectrum lets you rent a modem for free, so I have no idea why you are paying for one.

I bought my modem when I had a different provider and then spectrum bought them out. I continued using my modem. I was not aware Spectrum provided a modem and did not charge a rental fee like previous provider. Thanks for the info.

I think Spectrum is required by the government to provide a free modem and unlimited data as part of the Charter Spectrum merger.
