The main take away is that if you are considering spending $200 on a chair from Amazon or Office Depot/Max, spending an extra $100 on this will get you a chair that will last a lifetime, that you can find parts for if something breaks, and can resell if you want.
I believe all Steelcase chairs require headrests be installed when the chair is built at the factory. Where the Herman Miller headrest can be added anytime. The third party Steelcase headrests are poorly reviewed. So if you want a headrest or think you may later, hold out for a Herman Miller. I have never seen a second hand Steelcase with a headrest.
It's really interesting that each company has a slightly different approach to chair sizes. The Steelcase has various adjustments in the back and seat pan to accommodate different sized people (mainly height, it adjusts for torso and leg length). Herman Miller uses different overall chair sizes with A being the smallest/petite, B in the middle and C the largest. The Bs are obviously the most ubiquitous. I was able to try a Steelcase and Herman Miller Aeron B at the refurbisher. The Herman Miller B was just a little too small (I'm 6'3"). The adjustments on the Leap accommodated me better.
