the reason it is slick is because the 15% off card can then be used on any sale or discounted prices at that establishment, so add on a 10% mil disc, and maybe another 15% on a sale item, and it helps alot

but aren't the gift cards they have at 15% off generally the ones that go on sale for 20% off at other places? And if you used your points for 25%-50% bonus for redeeming travel (after transferring to a sapphire card) it might be better spent? I don't know your situation might be different but I bank my points, get a sapphire card and vacation with the family then cancel the sapphire, repeat on wife's account the following year and repeat. 80k points sign up right now for preferred card

For my Chase Biz card, the current UR promotion allows me to redeem my UR points for my last 3 Google Fiber bills with 10% off. Since I have paid my last 3 bills already, the UR points I redeemed just remained on my account as statement credit to be applied for the future charges. I was able to transfer UR points from my Freedom card to Biz card. Check if you got the same promotion if you use your Chase credit card to pay internet service provider bills.
