It's $4 off the regular price. Lacks humidity control. Every fruit and veg has its own optimal storage humidity and temperature. Apples and citrus like high humidity and last longer in sealed not vented containers for instance.

Spoilage occurs because the humidity is wrong or because ethylene producers are stored with ethylene sensitive or from mold spread or mold thriving from water condensate.

Tall pantry type silicon seal containers are great. They can store in the door which aids fridge efficiency or sideways on a shelf. I may place a cloth in the bottom to absorb excess moisture or may use a damp one on top with the lid left loose.

Carrots and celery do best in a Commercial Products Cold Food Insert Pan i.e. 1/3 Size, 6 Inches Deep, Clear ( Rubbermaid FG118P00CLR) with the loose fitting lid.

To prevent waste and harmful bacterial growth, which is a huge problem with leafy greens, after 3 days I cook or wash puree and freeze in cubes for use in soups stews and smoothies. Low grade food poisoning from salad greens which looks fine is common because the bacteria reproduces at a fast rate.

These produce containers will be helpful for select produce storage only.

For safety, pre-washed salad greens must be used by the expiration date even if they look fine. I tuck the open cello pkg in a tall clear pantry container leaving the lid loose or off. This way everyone can see the use-by date. If no cello then it's a reminder to wash prior to use. Dry shredded cabbage-carrot mix stores well sealed in airtight in the 9.6 cu Brilliance container. All greens including lettuce may be sauteed and added to other food.

WHAT YOU'LL USE THEM FOR: Medium short container: blueberries; medium container: strawberries, blueberries; large short container: broccoli, bell peppers; large container: iceberg lettuce, spinach

SET INCLUDES: One 4.6-cup medium short, one 7.2-cup medium, one 11.3-cup large short container, and one 18.1-cup large container and lids for a total of 8 pieces
Scroll down a bit to see the difference sizes. I have two large containers and I like them pretty well. I really don't need another large container though. This looks to be about $1.25 higher than the lowest price so probably a decent price.

I do this and see my salad last much longer. I bought this kit for a few dollars more the other day to add to my existing collection. Highly recommended.

So what should I put in these?

I can keep lettuce fresh for two weeks just with zipper bags from Walmart and dry paper towels.

Read the one star reviews. These are made of thin fragile plastic. I prefer the 9.6 cup Brilliance which are also great for storing fruit in the freezer. Cut freeze on tray store pineapple, grapes, apple banana slices, berries. Brilliance stacks well.

At the moment I have in the fridge in Brilliance melon and pineapple slices, nuts, seeds, prepared salads.

I personally am unable to think of a use for these light weight vented containes. For stuff that needs to breathe the commercial buffet pans are indestructible and you can write on them.

I was tempting to buy but there deceptive description turned me off. They are counting lids as one piece. So, 8 pieces are 4 boxes and 4 lids. What do you do just with lids. They would have simply said 4 pieces and I would have bought it.

I saw this one https://www.amazon.com/MineSign-S...S3N9S?th=1 at least they are not lying.

Great timing. I just bought two of the items in this set (they literally arrived today and I haven't even washed them yet.) for only a few dollars less ($18). I'm returning those and I'm picking these up

Thanks OP. Needed new ones (old ones have been given away/not returned). These keep berries longer in the fridge for my kid. Highly recommended to keep farmers market items too (which are often near peak ripeness).

Do you have a reference for this type of info, or even better, a quick reference guide that could be posted on the fridge?

Sure, try Google Home speaker in the kitchen. Asking it the best storage humidity temperature is one of the few things it's good for. With a bit of practice phrasing your question you will get useful advice.
