I was carying a bowl of rice and curry by the handles and the handle broke off. Bowl crashed into pieces on the floor, handle still gripped in my fingers. I will say, I had lightly microwaved it a few times before it broke.
Just get a ceramic bowl. They are made from mostly organic materials too.
