My understanding is:

1. If you have a current Xbox GPU subscription buying this Xbox Live card for 3 months will convert to 50 days of GPU.

Alternatively ...

2. If you do NOT have a current GPU subscription, buying this Xbox Live card will give you 3 months of Live. You can then add on a month of GPU for $15. Once added, you will have your 3 months of Live converted to GPU. Of course, to maximize the savings, you would really want to max out your Live at 36 months before throwing on the GPU.

This is confusing to many though. If you aren't following these XBox Live conversion to GPU threads you may not understand the differences between having a sub vs not having a sub and how the actual conversion works.

Finally, from a math perspective ...

If you have a current sub and you want to extend your sub out 3 years the total cost for that with this deal works out to approximately $220 ($10x22 50 day conversions). If you have an expired sub or are a new subscriber, those same 3 years will cost you $135 ($10 x 12 3 month Live cards + 1 month GPU @ $15 for the conversion).

The link says goes to this item: Xbox Live Gold 3 months Xbox Live Key GLOBAL

Looks like they take another 10% off but the item still says Gold and not ultimate. Am I missing something here?

I'm not seeing it either. Fill us in. The link provided talks about converting gold to ultimate. The title of the thread contradicts this; it says Game Pass Ultimate current/existing subscribers/not current gold members.

Thanks for the explanation!
It looks like you can get up to 10 subs on this deal (per purchase?). So 12 or 22 would require multiple purchases?

Repped. And one more question then; can you buy this to use later (or is this a bit risky as the codes may not be good or some crap), let your current GPU subscription expire, and then just get a gold membership and do the conversion again to max it out? And if you do do this, how long do you need to wait once your current GPU expires before you can get a gold gamepass? Is a day fine or is there some fine print somewhere where it says you have to wait 30 days or something? Sorry for the plethora or questions LOL.

The codes for this deal are noted as having no expiration so you could buy them and hold onto them. If you are concerned about bad codes, you can put them into redeem.microsoft.com. if the code is already used it will tell you immediately. If it is good, you will be able to press next to use it or close it and save the code for later.

It is worth noting that microsoft could terminate gold conversion at any time. While you would get more out of them by waiting for your subscription to lapse, they may become worthless for gamepass between now and then. I'm not claiming it will, but just keep it in mind when deciding to save codes for gold.
