I think you're confusing two different items. The regular AirPods are on the 3rd generation. The AirPods Pro referenced in this deal are currently on the 2nd generation. So there are not "a last gen product".

How much of an improvement are we talking, outside of the find my feature? I have 1st gen that are only 1.5 years old and can't justify getting new ones yet.

Meanwhile I have the 1st gen ones and one ear bud (left one) been doing the buzz noise. A friend of mine has them and says he can hear great with them at half volume vs full volume then his current airpod pros.

I keep waiting for them to be under 169.99 as 200 for these is a bit much. When off brand ones work just as well for most things.

I know what you're talking about. The sound isn't drastically improved but the noise cancellation and bass are improved. I wouldn't move to it until it's at a killer price for you. To each their own, I bought new ones because I lost my old pair. Hence the find my feature being handy lol
