Anyone own this that used to own a Fitbit? My Fitbit Versa is tired and with Fitbit blending into Google I think it's time to try one of these, or just with with an iwatch.
So the Amazfit 7 had longer battery life, bigger and colored display. Claimed to have 100+ exercise modes. But the heart rate tracked was lower by almost 10%. Sleep tracking was not arcuate like I would wake up, go to the bathroom and no awake time was tracked, over multiple nights. The exercise tracking had to be manually started before each set or only heart rate got recorded.
So my take on the Amazfit 7 was it had a fancier display and user interface but the health tracking accuracy was inferior. If I didn't have the Inspire HR for years I probably wouldn't notice the 7's inaccuracies. So I returned the 7 and went back to the HR as a recording device. I do not need to pay $100 for the newer Fitbit tracker as I do not train that hard and do need real time optimal zone info while exercising. I only need reliable and consistent day to day results tracking. Btw, the Amazfit 5 is a couple of years older than the 7, which is probably 3+ years old. So cheap may not be a good strategy here.
It is adjustable, and I don't have to worry about the band coming off from popping off (like on the mi/amazbit bands do). There are other bands out there, but I'm listing the one I actually use and is 1,000 times better than the default one. I can't tell you guys how many times the mii/amazbit bands came off my wrist, (in car, bed, etc, ... and lucky I was able to find it). But many times you might not notice the watch is missing, or for how long, ... I remember calling a food store to ask if they found my watch. Carrying bags can undo the band. Glad I don't have to worry about that with the elastic band .
p.s. from Amazon Q and A:
Question:
Does it fit the Amazfit band 5?
Answer:
Yes. They fit the Amazfit 5. They were small enough for my 9 year and big enough for an adult male. Very nice.

here are 2 apps that are named pretty close, but one isn't that good and the other one works great for me (ZEPP with E) icon works for me. I had terrible experience with the Zepp app (without the E) , it wouldn't update the watch and battery would drain fast.
zepp (formerly amazfit) and zepp life (which is what i'm using for the mi band 4).
so zepp amazfit has an E icon, and zepp life doesnt.
downloading zepp amzfit to see if it works with my mi band 4.
it's 100 megs in size

... and the "zepp E app" worked with my amazfit band 5. (this app updated my amazfit 5 and worked ... and the zepp sucked on the amazfit band 5)
