Ah no. This is more "cholesterol is bad to eat cause people who have heart attacks have high cholesterol" association "science". There's nothing in the study referencing actual erythritol consumption, just what is found in the blood. And guess what, the body creates it.

Here's a fun thread debunking it.

Received these this month on S&S from the last front page deal. Paid $7.80 after coupons and I enjoy them. Taste is good and would buy again but wouldn't pay more than $1 a bottle.

I'll pass on the artificial sweeteners thank you

The study shows that erythritol is closely associated with risk for "major adverse cardiovascular events." In other words, people who have high blood levels of erythritol are more prone to heart attacks, strokes and even death.

The researchers studied the blood of more than 4,000 people in the U.S. and Europe. They were looking for common threads that could indicate an increased risk for heart conditions. What they found was that people who had more erythritol in their blood were at elevated risk for major heart problems.

Taking it a step further, the researchers gave erythritol to animal models. They saw enhanced clot formation in models of arterial disease. They added erythritol to blood outside of the body. And found that adding erythritol to blood made it "clump up," or form a blood clot by activating platelets.

I mean you do know the difference between correlation and causation? The easy thing to do is to dismiss my point at face value as youve done. But if you actually understand the study process you'd see the criticism is valid. Instead we should trust the Slickdeals non doctor and blindly accept. Thanks Dr Karazi. Also it's not an artificial sweetener as you stated. It's an important distinction.

also that Twitter doctor has twice as many published studies as the whole team in the study you're referencing.

Unless you got something better, like some facts outside that study, you pretty much got owned by him.

I do agree with you about artificial sweeteners they are no better and in some cases worse than the natural sugar though. Erythritol while man made is natural to the body.

Now regarding this deal its a okay price I got it cheaper before, but I actually got really tired of the strawberry lemonade flavor very quickly.

Ahh no artificial sweeteners only butter and processed sugars using milk from hormone pumped cows whose milk comes out red because there pumped to the point of abuse every day then it's processed for consumers... but no artificial sweeteners... couldn't do that.

I don't remember claiming it was more ethical towards animals than artificial sweeteners 😅
