How did you know I just edged my 2 driveways on my corner property with a Ryobi stick edger, and am definitely eager to make this job go by faster?

I've eliminated about 75% of my lawn. I keep lower type natural grasses in the backyard for the dog. It's not perfect grass but I no longer use any chemicals/fertilizers. Only has to be cut occasionally.

My GF and neighbors all thought I was nuts. They no longer feel that way. I don't miss the fancy, green, weed free lawn. I used to spend time and money killing clover. Clover is now my friend.

Not sure who this is for. In theory looks like a good idea, but these types of machines have some serious pitfalls - if your driveway is curved at all, even slightly, you're in for a world of hurt because the wheels on this thing are fixed and it only goes straight. And if/when the metal blade hits the edge of the pavement, it will take a chunk off.

You also don't need to cut that deep every time, if you're re-defining an edge on an unkept lawn I could see it, but then it's just maintaining it. A decently powered stick edger is much faster and better - for that matter, something like Echo PAS would allow you buy the edger attachment for occasional use when you want to re-define, and also use it as a string trimmer for regular lawn maintenance including edging.

What an amazing story, against all odds you decided to go against the established norms, everyone doubted you and thought you were nuts. But not only did you prove all the doubters wrong, you are now the envy of your peers, while also saving time and money. You sir are a visionary and an intellectual.

Sadly, i'm late. What is going on with gas powered edgers in terms of price? I bought a Troy Bilt 550 in 2018 for $125 on clearance at Lowes. Lowes doesnt seem to carry it anymore after that clearance which is unfortunate. I believe it was half off regular price meaning it was around $250. Now its doubled in price.

While it gave me a little bit of trouble that first startup after winter, it did run every summer. Someone stole it out of my shed so i'm now stuck playing the waiting game for these to come back down. Corporate greed and price gouging is really something. This is not normal inflation. I cant even believe anyone is buying these gas powered edgers at $400+ especially with the price of gas up so much

These are finally back in stock at a new price of $329. WHY?

What's going on?! I wonder if I could show a manager my screenshot at the $190 price, being OOS forever, with my email address in the Notify Me when back in stock, and get that price?
Once I finally got the notification that it's back, the price was jacked up.
