I recently upgraded from RF82II to R7, after Dirac Live correction I hear zero difference when watching movies. Just my 2 cents. RP160M to R7 with good amp you MIGHT hear a difference, but I would put that money toward a Monolith/svs sub
Better sound is too subjective to try to justify to a stranger on the internet.

Will it be better than the R3 using your Denon for movies? Probably a bit... worth the price? Depends on if you like floor speakers as furniture, or don't mind smaller bookshelf's with stands.

Will it sound better just listening to music? Probably not. Both depend on if you already have sub and your room is tuned.

Will it be a big step up from your Klipsch? With a dedicated amp, yes. With your Denon, yes but it may not blow you away

Stereo music listening is one factor, surround with movies is another, subwoofer, amp & room (and aesthetics) all contribute to the unknown factor.

Sorry, edited a bit... On my phone.

I missed the R3 deal from Bestbuy. Can anyone please explain if paying almost double the price for floor standing R7 set worth? Does R7 offer better sound than to R3, apart from a bit more bass? I am currently using Klipsch RP-160m (200$) book shelfs with a good Denon amp and am really happy with the performance. Is it a significant upgrade going to KEF R3 or R7s?

Thank you. Sorry for not mentioning previously, I use the Denon stereo receiver amp which has sufficient power to drive two channels @ 100 watts. My main usage is music and occasionally TV with two bookshelves and an ELAC sub. If needed, I would upgrade the amp too. I upgraded from Pioneer AJs to Klipsch RP and the improvement was really evident. Hope you understand where I'm coming from.

I am upgrading from an Infinity primus 363/351 fronts with Pioneer AJ surrounds into R7/R2c fronts and will move the 363 to surrounds.

5.2.4 system for 100% HT use. Is this a good upgrade? Dedicated amp needed?

Can anyone comment. I have KEF Q350 booksheves. I also have 2 giant subs (literally SVS PB3000) so no need for extra bass. I also have Kef Q150 as rears, surrounds and ceilings (6 speakers in all!) As fronts (left and rights), would this help with dynamics and clarity or would it be an overkill replacement for bookshelves?

I've been listening to these like a week maybe. I got them for 1100 off best buy a week ago. This was change from Polk RT800i. Listening on svs prime wireless sound base pro. On the gloss white the fit finish gorgeous. Assembly of bases required. Sounds better than what I had. I like the concentric tweeter thing. I can hear a difference. You wouldn't need a subwoofer with these and I'm a subwoofer proponent.

If you dont care about the bass extension (or lack thereof) of the r3's then there will likely be no audible difference. Studies show that for most, the lower end is the most important part of the audible spectrum so without a sub(s) the floorstanders will be the preferred solution by most.
Avoiding a subjective opinion, the R3's objectively embarrass the klipsch so for most, there is no question that the r3s will sound better. Take a look at the fr and spinorama of both and you will see the clear differences

This is because of your use case. The sound difference for movies (with less than 20% of the sound being presented at the l/r front speakers) you should not hear a difference.
Play a well recorded audio source and there will be a difference. A huge difference. Whether you hear it or like it is another thing (subjectivity).

Agreed it plays music much better, I have a dedicated music room/office with LS50 now, not sure if they belong there or not, but I never ever use my home theater for music or even concert, man if those suckers aren't looking so good in walnut I'd return themLMAO
