$6 isn't enough. I'm going to swap over to pennzoil. They still have their $10 dollar rebate and the price at Walmart is cheaper than Mobil 1

Because many rebates don't end up getting claimed or used which means some people accidentally pay full price when they intended to get the rebate.

Just wanted to chime in as there seemed to be a lot of people getting denied.

I bought my box on 8/29 with the wowfresh deal.
Filed for the double rebate on 9/4 after I had the receipt showing delivered.
Approved on 9/8.

That's a layperson's view on rebate. Marketing is more complex than that, and there are more legitimate reasons for companies to run rebates. I don't want to list them all, but here are a few. 1). Rebate brings in immediate cash, which comes in handy when a business needs that (kind of like borrowing money from a bank but instead from customers without interest rates to pay back. 2). They can collect personal/market data, which is a huge profit for any business 3). Rebates promote brand/company image vs retailer image. If a product is on sale at a retailer, consumers attribute it to the retail store and become more loyal to the store (and they'll just buy whatever brand gets on sale next). Rebates reinforce the brand/company by keeping consumers' experiences tied to the brand directly ("I saved money thanks to Mobil 1" vs "I saved money thanks to Walmart"). I don't blame you for not knowing any of this though. Most people would think like you do unless they have a business degree.

YUP, which is how ive been hooked on M1 for maybe 10 years? since these deals started.

My rebates are always denied. I submit as pdf, and when I check my claims the files are available to view and they download as .pdf.exe ? That makes them unable to be viewed right? Why is their website so terrible? I hate mobil 1. Anyone know how to fix this???
