TD for locked down mobo.
Do you know for sure that it is a locked down motherboard? My guess is you don't but that didn't stop for commenting. Unlike HP Pavilion Gaming or some Envy Desktops, the whole gaming series uses standard components for motherboard, Ram, SSD and PSU. Here the motherboard is a standard mATX motherboard, standard ATX PSU and literally off-the-shelf HyperX RGB Ram. All the components can be upgraded. Below is the motherboard specification which you should check out and let me know which components you think are locked.

Interestingly, the board does not support integrated graphics even this system comes with a 5700G. So, if you don't have the external GPU, you won't have any video output.

These https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp...-bundle-pc can be found refurbished on Ebay with HP warranty for the about the same price. Passmark on the i7 is about 20% higher. 3070 has a miniscule better passmark then 6750XT. 3070 has less memory. They are not proprietary. Standard ATX PSU, Standard ATX Mobo, etc.

I suspect he was referring to bios settings often being locked on hp/dell desktops (oc, voltage, clocks, etc). Not sure if that's the case here though.

That's a weird setup. Something HP missed?
Why'd they spend extra on a G chip just to put it on a board that doesn't support it?

Title says RX 6750 XT but specs in post and on HP site say RX 6700 XT. Misleading title gets a TD from me.

It doesn't have any such restrictions. That guy probably confused it with other series.

I'm sorry, but are you talking about the $1035 deal? In what world does paying $990 for a 6700xt rig with a 5700g and 600w gold "smoke" paying $1035 for one with a 13700 and 750w platinum?

I didn't say that you did. I wasnt even talking to you. Why do people take comments so personally?

Since you asked, its 150w, not 100w, which is certainly enough to alter future upgrade options. Also its plat vs gold which are more efficient and often have better reliability.

Regardless, I was only naming the 2 most significant differences at a glance, not trying to sell anyone on it. Yes Im aware that deal is dead. I didnt bring it up. And my question still stands: how does this deal smoke that one?

The same one, unless there was a different but similar Dell deal with a 13700.
