Ebay has the Western Digital 2TB SN740 on sale for $181 apply
DEALTWENTY coupon at check out to take another 20% off makes it $145 before tax. This is the cheapest it's ever been for a 2TB 2230 SSD. This is slightly faster than the Sabrent Rocket on FP. Both are TLC SSDs, and should be plenty for Steam Deck or if you preordered the ROG Ally.

To all ROG Ally buyers. Apparently, you can easily install the ROG firmware/OS via the ROG BIOS via a cloud restore. No need to find drivers or download firmware. Below is a link to a video showing the reinstall process.

Its fairly easy to do.
The additional discount should show as a tab on the page, at least mobile version signed in. "Take $36.40 off this item"

Thanks, if it was any closer, it would have bit my nose off

Easy! Guide a available from ifixit I believe as well
Quite easy. I've done mines twice now (one from 64GB to 256GB, and a second time from the 256GB up to 1TB). Several good guides on YouTube (be from Sabrent that I watched recently) that give really good breakdowns and walkthroughs.

Hardest part for most people seems to be not forgetting to take your SD card out before cracking it open.
