They are super smart. Combined co2 detector and fire alarm. It also test itself every month and also have a night life feature.

I actually had a fire in my house and they are ridiculously accurate and battery last long time.

I have them all over my house.

Nest doesn't support wired interconnect with other brands, so if you have to replace all of them in your house to be linked.

It should also be noted the older Nest app is unanimously loved over the more recent google home app.

Man, these things are 10 years old - you would think they would have a much bigger discount considering they haven't done anything to them in that time frame. I'm also afraid Google may discontinue this since it's a niche product.

lol, why did this get a thumbs down? That's literally the feature - it motion detects and flicks on a nice, subtle night light so you can see.

Great unit. I have 7 of these and they are outstanding.

Way better than the "smart" FirstAlert units that would just go off whenever they would feel like it, giving my kids and pets PTSD.

Only thing to remember, these are STILL not in the google home app. So you have to have the old nest app for just these units, and google home for everything else. It's so dumb that Google hasn't fixed this issue yet.
