maybe easier exchange/warranty thru walmart?
I think Walmart would only usually exchange for the first 30 to 90 days and then they'd just refer you to Hart for warranty service after that anyway. I haven't seen big issues with a lot of DOA products from them, so I probably wouldn't be too concerned about it, particularly given the price difference.

Interesting, I still add to cart and go through checkout (though I didn't actually place an order).

I ordered this days ago, and the day it was supposed to arrive I got an "item delayed" email. Then today I got a cancel notice. However the item I ordered is still available just at a higher price. Something seems off.

Hart (made by TTI) is listed here, under "Additional Brands":

That's because Hart is only found at Walmart. TTI owns the company.

Right, just like Lowe's doesn't sell Milwaukee, Home Depot doesn't sell Metabo, etc. Brands have certain deals with retailers to use one and not their competitors.

I just got this drill from the $40 deal last week that included an impact driver and second battery. Well worth the $40. My biggest issue with both the drill and impact driver are they are big. Not heavy, just big. The drill in particular is very long thus not good for any sort of tight spaces. My other 20V cordless drill is length of this drill absent the chuck, so about 2" shorter. My impact driver is similarly shorter.

Other than the size, the drill behaves nicely enough. I haven't really pushed the thing in the few days I've had it. I can say it was happy to drill a 5/16" hole in steel conduit. I would consider it similar to some of the lower end Ryobi stuff. Certainly up to the job if I wanted to add a small deck to the back of my house. $30 is good but not having a second battery is a limitation. It's probably cheaper to find a battery with a second tool vs buying the battery alone.

BTW, mine did come with a battery level lights on the batteries. I don't think the pictures show that.

Not sure if it's going in and out of stock again, but looks like it's live again now. There have been reports of some canceled orders, but some orders were shipped just fine, so worth a shot if looking for it.

Jerks cancelled the $39 drill and impact driver combo, but can sell the drill itself for $29 now.

I ordered a drill and the impact driver from Hart a few days ago (sold/shipped from hart) and they came shipped in their retail packaging with just a fedex shipping label slapped on to them both, I just found that odd

Unfortunately this is more common than you would think. It is called ship-a-lone. Most companies have a non conveyable department for large items that can be shipped with just the vendor box but I'm guessing some SKU's slip through the cracks or maybe they are trying to cut cost.

I ordered the brushless drill and brushless driver and got the same your order is delayed e-mail then 5 days later they all showed up and later checked my email and Walmart said my order is canceled, so I guess I got them for free
