Great speaker, bought it a few years ago for $160 and it has good sound and nice bass. The only thing I would say that the battery does not last that long. I would say 2 1/2 to 4 hours tops. However if you are close to an outlet it would be better plugged in as you would get the maximum output loudness and not have to worry about the speaker dying out. Sadly after I got the JBL partybox then this unit doesn't get much usage anymore. Overall though for $109 it is a fantastic buy.
I have this speaker and I love it. Bluetooth very strong (does not drop off) and it has a strong sound.. at this price point your not gonna find anything similar.. love the case for it as well

Currently have 2 Partybox, Encore and Partybox 200. There is no comparison with party box I feel as they sound much better. Also the partybox has microphone input and aux input. Sound wise thought, the Encore and the Studio 6 is more comparable. Giving a slight edge on the Encore for sound quality, but the Studio 6 has slightly better battery life (3-4 hrs) while Encore has about 2-2:30 hours at 80 volume. Both battery life suck IMO. Keep in mind that both speakers are Bass heavy if you are enjoy listening to that.

I have this speaker. Got it a year or two ago on another deal; I still use it everyday.
It gets very loud, but noticeably louder when plugged in. Battery is just okay. At loud/max volumes, it's going to drain quickly. It's a lot bigger and heavier than it looks, so I'd consider it more of an impromptu party speaker than a 'throw in my bag for a hike' speaker. I've used it for a backyard party of 40+ people or so and you could absolutely hear it across the whole lawn even with all the crowd noise. It gets very loud for it's size and has great bass for a little single-speaker.
