ZX5 is the more forgiving, ZX7 is more for low to mid handicaps. Shaft all depends on your swing speed so can't really answer that question

The Strata (made by Callaway) set is ok. The Costco Callaway Edge set is pretty good.

I also think the Decathlon Inesis 100 set is pretty good for the price.

100% would recommend waiting. Even if you pieced together a 2nd hand set using clubs from 5 years ago, it's hard to beat <$600 for an entire set of clubs. The Edge set will be brand new at the same price.
