I've had a different brand for a couple of years that I love (had tried posting when I got the deal, but the SD police took it down). The GE ones seem to be pretty popular though, and this seems like a good price on a non-refurbished unit.

As pathetic as this may sound, I spent last weekend in the hospital and the highlight (by far) was getting pitcher after pitcher of nugget ice!

This looks to be V1 which doesnt have as great of reviews (loud, prone to failure, etc). I really want to get one as well for the nugget ice but reading the reviews kinda scared me off from this.

Check your height. Something I didn't think about when I bought one. This was 1/2" or less from fitting under my upper cabinets. (Depending on where you put it) Also, I've been through 2 of these, I think you'll get a max of 2 years out of it.

I bought one, games within 5 months. Bought another one during the last prime day, lasted me about 11 months. The compressor is starting to make a rattling noise and the yellow light comes on. These things are disposable if you use ice every day.
