Does anyone know if these are any good for a quick pinch looking formal attire? Or if they're in the warehouses to see what sizes fit? Or do they fall in line with standard Costco sizing?

These are not too bad for an informal event. These are polyester light weight jacket but seems to wrinkle a lot. The reviews are correct. Seemed to fit well. Buy a couple of sizes, use the discount and if you keep one, it will be $40.

No: It's a travel blazer i.e. minimum viable product that you can pack in a bag for to dress up a pair of jeans or khakis. My guess is the L is a full cut 42.5 to 45 with plenty of room to wear over a light sweater or a bratwurst diet. It's good to have one in the arsenal if you travel lite.
