FWIW, this game is 3X the size of Breath of the Wild in terms of gameplay, so worth it at even $10 off whether Costco or Amazon.

I don't know man, with how expensive life is, $60 for a game that's going to provide many hours of entertainment is a pretty good deal.

For those upset with a $70 price tag, it's useful to remember that Ocarina of Time and Donkey Kong 64 (and most 64 games for that matter) cost $60 when new. Given those games came out 20 years ago, paying 60 bucks today is 0 inflation for 20+ years and also disregards that games today are much more in depth and complex than most games of yesteryear. Gasoline was under a buck a gallon back then; applying even half of the 400% increase in price we've seen since those days would imply a new game cost of at least $120 today.

While I hate the price increase, I can't fault them for it.

For those upset with the price tag, I'd reference that most major games have been $50 or $60 all the way back to the NES. Some did retail for $65, $70, $75 but that wasn't the norm. I think you're spot on for inflation adjusted prices.

I see you have this problem too.

Gonna start one of the main quests now. Ooh look a shrine/smoke/enemy encampment/3 headed dragon at a distance. Better run/climb/swim/fly there and get derailed for another couple of hours while I do all this cool stuff along the way. What did Purah tell me what to do again?

If you're good with digital, get the "two vouchers for $100" deal direct from Nintendo, you essentially save $20-30 across two games

First time playing a Zelda game, this is an amazing game, so much to do and explore, build and fight. Can't find enough time to play.

Yeah and it's every freaking time it gets mentioned. To me it's one of the GOAT video games of all time and one of the very few open world games that I didn't get bored with after a dozen or so hours.

Great game. One of my top 3 this year along with Hogwarts Legacy and Diablo 4.

Welcome to 2005.

I love all the people here complaining about a game that sold 10 million copies within days. A record for at least Nintendo.

I don't like dungeons and and linear gameplay, so I just don't buy those types of games. If you want old school Zelda then buy that Zelda remake.
