My local subway just recently stopped accepting coupons and I have zero interest in buying subs at the normal $10-13 price.

I know it's been a while since the $5 footlong days, but a 100% increase just makes this pricing hard to swallow, especially without a coupon.

A time ago I tried to figure out which subways accepted these type coupons, and when I asked I would get a sob story. I would stop them and say "So you don't take the coupon? That's fine" then I would leave. I don't ask in person anymore. I just try the code out in their app at different locations. I have luck at Subways located in Walmarts. Maybe they're corporate?

The link in the OP leads to the Subway home page which in turn has a box labeled "VIEW PARTICIPATING LOCATIONS" that will tell you which stores around you will accept coupons (if any). You can verify this by trying the code with an online or app order. There's no need to actually go to the store to ask. This has been working for me.

Franchisee cancelling the order done via corporate promo? Why isn't this addressed before wasting people's time? It's super unprofessional and you'd think their internal systems would be streamlined better than that.

Ugh.. All local subways near me don't take these coupons anymore. On a separate note, I went in the other day and found out they also stopped carrying sriracha and oven roasted chicken breast. My two, go to staples for years. Ended up getting the Mexicali and it cost me almost $15 for a pretty average sandwich. If I opted for chips and a drink combo it would have been roughly $18... Subway use to be a really good value for your money, but definitely not anymore. If I want to spend close to $20 for a meal I'll go to Five Guy and get a loaded double cheeseburger, a bunch of fresh cut cajan fries, and a drink.

Never had a problem with Subway in my life. Veggies and roast beef are always fresh. The tuna salad is obviously tuna. Then again Taco Bell and Chipotle never gave me the runs either, I guess I'm just lucky like that. The only problem with these fast food joints is they are severely overpriced.

you people are actually calling to ask if they take the code? are you serious?

just download the app, pick a location, get your order ready

before you check out, apply the code. if it doesn't work, they don't accept it.. switch location. repeat

no need to call, the employees wouldn't know anything about it anyway, what a waste of everyones time
