AIRHUB eSIM is offering a US wireless plan that features unlimited talk, text, and data (3GB high-speed) at a rate of $10/mo, powered by T-Mobile.
The next cheapest rate for a 3GB plan in the US is from H2O Wireless at $12.50/mo, when paid yearly.
Please note: you cannot port existing numbers into the service, based on conversations I've had with their support team.

Edit: I should add that those companies don't offer a number or calling method, so I just use my Google Voice number on data to make calls. Might be another thing to consider for some.

How do you verify your identity as a non-HK resident/citizen? I got an email saying service will be deactivated if I don't register with my real name. Only forms of valid ID are HK related IDs.
A passport, but only if you intend to use it in HK is my understanding.

Nope! this is how your identity ends up in places where it shouldn't be. Just to save $100 or so a year? Nope. I'm good. I'll have to cancel it.
Only if you intend to use that eSIM in Hong Kong.
Enjoy!
Can I port an existing US number to 3HK? I checked their faq section but could not find this.

No, potentially a HK number but definitely not a US number.
If T-Mobile can activate eSIM on that device, so can AIRHUB.
So, the list is probably outdated. I'd give it a shot.
You'd need to purchase a plan supporting those countries as this plan is only advertised to support the US.
Soft as in after you go over monthly allowance you get throttled back but can still do basic online functions
Sounds like Unreal was good around $10 per month but no longer offers the same package

H2O Wireless has 256Kbps speeds after using your plan's high speed allowance, which is industry leading barring those provided for "Unlimited" plans by Mint, Boost, and MobileX (512 Kbps).
That makes the yearly 1GB/mo plan @ $100/yr a good deal for many: https://www.h2owireless
